Currently, Melon is limited to very few investable assets which limit how far a fund can go to attain alpha. Many great investment opportunities are kept out of bounds as a result of these limits. Opening it up to general ERC20 and ERC721 tokens would help fund managers tremendously.

Totally agree about having access to more ERC20 tokens There are so many opportunities that we must miss because of having only 200 assets (many of which are variations of the same asset).

This would definitely help Enzyme to blow up in a big way if we had access to lower market cap ERC20 tokens that could be traded.

The asset universe is now approaching 200 assets and we are exploring solutions for less liquid assets more medium term too

I agree, for example we cannot do a low cap type of fund actually.

We can't just open it up to any assets until there are reliable price feeds living on chain for all assets. But we do plan to increase the asset universe and are working on this now

Mona El Isa: Recently, many more price feeds became available via Chainlink. Basically all assets on Synthetix.exchange are now available.

This means: LEND, LRC, SNX, YFI, sDEFI, BNB, XTZ, ADA; as well as commodities such as XAG and XAU.
Additionally, prices of things like the Curve.finance and Yearn.Finance  tokens can be found on-chain (by calling getPricePerFullShare()).
I agree with @Him Gajria, that expanding the asset universe is vital for increasing fund performance and long-term growth and competitiveness of Melon. We do not have to rush this - security remains paramount - but still: the sooner, the better.
